Your gate admission to the Red River Ex lets you into the park and provides access to free activities for the whole family!
Take full advantage of your time at the Ex by exploring the many attractions included with your admission. No matter where your interests lie, there’s something fun to experience at The Ex.
We’ve outlined the top 10 free thrills with gate admission during Winnipeg’s best 10 days of summer:
1. Have a Doggone Good Time
Watch superstar canines in the fan-favourite Extreme Dogs Stunt Dog Show, and witness four-legged cast members perform paw-some stunts at the Canine Circus.
2. Look Up to the Sky
Prepare to be amazed as aerial acrobats i-Flip defy gravity in a spectacular show, and the XPOGO stunt team bounces, flips and shows off some dazzling pogo tricks.
3. Entertain the Kids—or Kids at Heart
Princesses and superheroes and clowns—oh my! Your kids can get their faces painted, meet their favourite characters and enjoy performances from Doo Doo the Clown and Team T&J.
4. Groove to the Music
More than 200 hours of free concerts across three stages means you can listen to some good tunes, grab a bevy from our stage-side beer gardens and dance to your heart’s content, no matter what day you visit.
5. Hang Out with Animals
Meet new furry friends like ponies, donkeys, cows, sheep and goats at our Farm Animal Encounters at The Loop.
6. See Where the Magic Happens
Warning: Your mouth may hang open in amazement as you watch Ryan Price Magic and the Science Magic Show, which blends education, entertainment and a surprise or two along the way.
7. Strike a Pose
Check out prime selfie spots in front of the dinos in Extinction Park or the Great Big Chair, Balance Bench and Slack Line in Central Park. Selfies are encouraged! Whatever your preferred photo op, make sure to tag us on social media.
8. Horse Around a Little
Take in a variety of equestrian entertainment on both weekends! Get up close and watch competitive barrel racing and other horse shows.
9. Connect with Community
Appreciate Manitoba talent in the quilting, art and photo Creative Competitions, or visit the Hobby Showcase inside the Shoppers’ Market, where hobbyists like the Manitoba Doll Club and International Plastic Modellers Society show off their passions. And don’t forget to catch the fireworks show on June 17 to cap off your day!

Purchase your tickets on-site for $15. Bonus: Take advantage of our early gate weekday special. If you purchase your tickets before 5 p.m. on weekdays, you’ll save $5. Children six and under are free every day!
