Each year, eight scholarships are awarded to deserving Manitobans to support their education in agriculture or agri-food.

This $3000 scholarship was established by Dr. Stan T.K. Cheung, Ph.D. in honour of Cam Brown’s induction into the Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame in 2010. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students in the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Application deadline: second Friday in May by 4:30 pm.
One $1,500 scholarship is awarded in honour of the Farm Family of the Year.
Applicants must be both a Manitoba resident AND wish to enter or continue post-secondary studies in agriculture or a related program of study at a Manitoba university or accredited college.

Farm Family of the Year Scholarship

In the honour of 50th anniversary of the Farm Family program, one $1,500 scholarship is awarded every year.
Applicants must be both a Manitoba resident AND wish to enter or continue post-secondary studies in agriculture or a related program of study at a Manitoba university or accredited college.

50th Anniversary of the Farm Family program

Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame Scholarship

One $1,000 scholarship is awarded in recognition of the 100th anniversary of 4-H in Canada. Applicants must be current or past 4-H members.

4-H Centennial Scholarship

Two $1,250 scholarships are presented to applicants from a rural location taking a recognized Manitoba academic or vocational course.
The criteria to apply for the Manitoba Women’s Institute scholarship includes:
- Applicant must be a student from any rural Manitoba location
- The student must be enrolled in a recognized Manitoba academic or vocational course
- Wherever applicable, all uploaded files for the application must be in .pdf format

Manitoba Women’s Institute Scholarship Application

One $500 scholarship is presented to a student from rural Manitoba studying agriculture or any field that supports rural life.
The criteria to apply for this scholarships is:
- Enrolment in a university or accredited college anywhere in North America (proof of acceptance to be included below).
- Completed application form with relevant documents in .jpg or .pdf format
Please note, that the payment of funds will be made on proof of enrolment in the second term of study.

Manitoba Farm Women’s Conference – Scholarship Application

In 2012, the Red River Exhibition Association’s Equine Scholarship was renamed to the R.D. Payne Equine Scholarship, in honour of former director Rick Payne.
This $1,000 scholarship provides financial assistance to individuals actively involved in the equine community whose passion for the equine sport and dedication are evident in their competitive activities and contributions to their chosen equine discipline. Application deadline: second Friday in September by 4:30 pm.
