Exhibition Park, managed by the Red River Exhibition Association (RREA), is home to more than 240 event days each year, including the The EX, Witchy Wonderland, Manitoba Standardbred Harness Racing, Canad Inns Winter Wonderland, and dozens of exciting third-party events hosted by individual community organizations.
The current location of Exhibition Park at 3977 Portage Avenue was purchased by the Red River Exhibition Association in 1967, with more of the neighbouring land added in 1981 to total 480-acres. The first event at Exhibition Park, “The Heart of the Continent Horse Show” was held in 1996. Manitoba’s largest and most anticipated annual fair, The EX, has been held at its current location on Portage Avenue since 1997.

The RREA and Exhibition Park ARE NOT associated in any way with the Assiniboia Downs venue. Exhibition Park is, however, situated in the City of Winnipeg neighbourhood named “Assiniboia Downs” within the St. James-Assiniboia community area. The RREA (and Exhibition Park) is also a completely self-sustaining, non-profit organization and does not receive government funding to run annual operations and maintain facilities.
