Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg is dedicated to serving our community’s greatest need by providing funding to charitable organizations through exciting fundraisers and events.
Three bursaries are presented annually on behalf of the Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg.
The Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg awards one $1,000 bursary annually to assist an individual pursuing a career in any trade. The bursary is administered by the Red River Exhibition Foundation and may be used for assistance with tuition fees, tools or learning aids in conjunction with their post-secondary education or apprenticeship training in any trade career.
Application Criteria for Trade Bursary
- A Manitoba resident
- A student entering or continuing any trade program
- Submission of a completed application form

The bursary is administered by the Red River Exhibition Foundation and may be used for assistance with tuition fees, tools or learning aids in conjunction with their post-secondary education or training.
Application Criteria for Community Leadership Award
- A Manitoba resident
- A student entering or continuing post-secondary education or apprenticeship training
- Submission of a completed application form

One $1,500 bursary is awarded annually to a student enrolled in the Creative Communications program at Red River College Polytechnic.
The bursary is made on behalf of Kathy Kennedy and her 30 years of service to the Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg through the Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo program. Kathy will personally select the recipient and award the bursary.
Application Criteria for The Kathy Kennedy Bursary
- A Manitoba resident
- A student who has been accepted to or who is continuing in the Creative Communications program at Red River College Polytechnic
- Submission of a completed application form
Kathy Kennedy is a highly-regarded broadcaster with well over 30 years of experience in radio and television under her belt. Originally from Brandon, Kathy comes by her media chops honestly being raised by very supportive parents and whose mother was a CBC broadcaster. Meeting people and telling their stories is the thing she likes best about her career choice. A lover of rock and roll as well as fishing, Kathy is, first and foremost, a very proud Manitoban.
