Our Commitment to Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion

The Red River Exhibition Association (RREA) is committed to the continuous improvement of diversity, inclusivity and accessibility in all aspects of our organization. The RREA aims to provide a barrier-free experience for guests with visible and non-visible disabilities in accordance with the Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA). To that end, our policies, plans and procedures are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure the highest standard of guest service.

The RREA believes in diversity and inclusion, and hold a zero-tolerance policy for bigotry in any form. We are committed to ensuring equal access for all people who work, attend events and do business at Red River Exhibition Park and John Blumberg Sports Park.

Admissions and Support

  • Support Persons: Red River Exhibition Association events are a part of the Access 2 Card program. Any guest with a disability requiring assistance, upon paying for their own admission, may have their support person attend the event together with them for no additional admission charge upon presentation of an Access 2 Card. Their support person receives complimentary admission. Please note that admission prices vary with each event.
*This program may not extend to third-party events that rent our venue(s). The host of each event is listed at the bottom of each event web page. Please contact the host organization for information about their admissions.

On-Site Amenities and Services

  • Mobility Devices: Exhibition Park and John Blumberg Park are wheelchair and scooter accessible. Bringing your own mobility device(s) is highly recommended. Rentals are available on-site at Exhibition Park during some events. Checking availability in advance is recommended. Please contact the RREA office before your visit for information about device rental availability.
  • Service Animals: Service animals are permitted on the grounds, provided they are leashed or harnessed. They are not allowed on fair rides.
  • Ample signage is posted throughout the parks and events, ensuring equal access to information for Deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
  • Accessible Parking: Limited accessible parking stalls are available on a first-come, first-served basis in the west parking lot, accessed via Festival Drive.
  • Accessible Washrooms: Accessible washrooms are available in several locations throughout the parks. Directional signage is displayed and the washrooms are clearly marked.
  • Quiet Zone (Event specific): A dedicated, quiet area is provided at The EX for individuals who may need to escape the noise and crowds of the fair. This area is located in the northeast corner of the park, near the All-Faiths Prayer Room. All other events at Exhibition Park allow for guests to move to a quiet space away from central activities for a period of peaceful relief.

If you require information in an alternate format or wish to provide feedback regarding accessibility at Red River Exhibition Park please contact us at info@redriverex.com.
