John Blumberg Sports Bursary

One $1,000 and one $750 Sports Bursaries for Manitoba students awarded annually.

Reserved for candidates pursuing sports degree program in a variety of fields ie: sports medicine, kinesiology, PE teacher, Physio, message therapy etc. etc. Viable candidates can also be pursuing a higher coaching level through a certification program and not necessarily though a University or College. These bursaries were made possible as a result of the continued support and success of the Red River Exhibition Foundation by its partners and operators.

Application Deadline: Second Friday in May by 11:59 pm

Application Criteria for Tourism Scholarship

  • A resident of Manitoba.
  • A student entering or continuing in a related sports program at a College, University, or Professional Facility.

The vision-essay should contain: • Applicants biographical information • Why the applicant thinks the tourism industry fits their skills, abilities and holds prospects for the applicant as a career. This could include a short description of any volunteer or paid experience the applicant has. • What the applicant could contribute to the tourism industry and what the industry could contribute to the individual’s personal and professional growth.
