The Giant Festive Greeting Card School Program Returns for 2007
Once again local school groups will be creating giant greeting cards to benefit art education in the Winnipeg schools. If you would like to participate in the 2007 show please email kevin.clifford@redriverex.com or call Sandy at 888-6990.
Visitors will receive a ballot as they enter the show asking them to select their top choice in three categories: Grades 1 to 4, 5 to 8 and 9 to 12. One lucky ballot will be drawn for a round trip for 2 to anywhere in Canada that Air Canada flies, courtesy of River East Travel.
We look forward to expanding the Festive Greeting Card Program for the 2007 Canad Inns Winter Wonderland.
Festive Greeting Card School Program
In 2006 thirteen Winnipeg schools (grades 1 to 12) created 18 greeting card murals on 4 x 8 sheets of plywood. The entries were on display at the Canad Inns Winter Wonderland throughout the show. Each of category winners were rewarded with prize money to purchase art supplies based on the number of votes received in the three categories.
Congratulations to all those who participated! The ballot was also on the web site and in the Winnipeg Free Press. We had over 800 ballots cast with the following results for 2006 show.
