 The Business Sector Scholarship will be awarded in the value of $1,000.00
The Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. is accepting applications for a scholarship that is awarded annually to assist individuals who are pursuing a career in business.
 The scholarship was made possible as a result of a donation made by the W. Garfield Weston Foundation supported by the Real Canadian Superstore. The scholarship will be administered by the Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. and focus on students entering business related programs.
Criteria:
- Available to Manitoba residents wishing to enter or continue their post secondary studies in a business related program at a Manitoba University or accredited College.
Applications must contain:
- Proof of last level of education
- Proof of acceptance at a Manitoba University or accredited College
- Letters of reference/recommendation from at least one person (teacher, employer, community leader)
- 150 - 200 word vision-essay containing applicant’s biography information, as well as a description of the following:
- Why the applicant thinks business fits their skills, abilities and holds prospects for the applicant as a career. This could include a short description of any volunteer or paid experience the applicant has.
- What the applicant could contribute to a business and what a career in business could contribute to the individual’s personal and professional growth

Scholarship Award Ceremony
The scholarship will be awarded on a Monday during the Red River Exhibition Summer Show. The successful applicant will be expected to be present, at the evening ceremony, to accept the scholarship.
