 The Automotive Industry Scholarship may be awarded in the values of $500 - $1,000.00
The Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. is accepting applications for a scholarship that is awarded annually to assist individuals who are pursuing their Red Seal Certification as an Automotive Service, Collision Repair or Collision Refinishing Technician.
Scholarships may be awarded to students at secondary and post secondary levels.The scholarship is made possible as a result of a Founding donation made by Sobering Auto Electric Ltd. It is also supported by contributions from Manitoba Public Insurance and from members of the Automotive Industry.
The scholarship will be administered by the Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. and may be used for assistance with tuition fees, tools or learning aides in conjunction with their secondary and post secondary education.
Criteria:
- A Manitoba resident
- Actively involved in the Automotive Industry either as a student, employee or apprentice
Applications must contain:
- What is the highest level of education you have to date? (attach transcripts / marks records)
- What level of technical training have you obtained to date? (attach transcripts / marks records
- References: Please provide letters of reference / recommendation from at least two people (teachers, employer, community leader)
- List award achievements and volunteer activities / involvements
- Please write telling us about your Vision Statement including:
- Your interests in the industry
- Why you chose this career path
- How you plan to be involved in the industry in the future.

You may apply online, by mail, in person, fax, or e-mail by 4:30 p.m., the last Friday in May.

Scholarship Award Ceremony
The scholarship will be awarded on a Monday during the Red River Exhibition Summer Show. The successful applicant will be expected to be present, at the evening ceremony, to accept the scholarship.
