The Aerospace Industry Scholarship will be awarded in the value of $1,000.00
The Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. is accepting applications for a scholarship that is awarded annually to assist individuals who are pursuing a career in the aerospace industry. The scholarship is awarded by the Red River Exhibition Association in memory of Bob Lang (see cover photo of Bob Lang), a long time employee of the Association who began his career at Standard Aero in Winnipeg.The scholarship will be administered by the Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. and may be used for assistance with tuition fees, tools or learning aids in conjunction with their post secondary education or apprenticeship training in the aerospace industry.
Criteria:
- A Manitoba resident
- Actively enrolled in the Aerospace programs at Technical Vocational School, Murdoch MacKay Collegiate or R.D. Parker (Thompson)
- You must continue your education in the Aerospace field
Applications must contain:
- Proof of Senior 4 or equivalent
- Letters of reference/recommendation from at least two people including the recommendation of the school’s aerospace program instructor(s)
- Proof of completion of successful work experience
- Resumé, including education, employment and volunteer, community and school activities
- Please write telling us about your Vision Statement including:
- Your interests in the industry
- Why you chose this career path
- How you plan to be involved in the industry in the future

Scholarship Award Ceremony
The scholarship will be awarded on a Monday during the Red River Exhibition Summer Show. The successful applicant will be expected to be present, at the evening ceremony, to accept the scholarship.
