| Part Time Seasonal Positions |
| Maintenance Person |
Part Time Seasonal: April 1st – November 30th (may lead to a full time position)
Position Summary: Looking for a physically fit person to assist with various maintenance projects including the overall appearance of the Park. Assist with various event related set-ups and other duties as directed.
Duties to Include: Basic carpentry, painting and minor plumbing repairs to the Parks infrastructure including but not limited to buildings, fences and assets while assisting with various Park improvements. Provide a clean, safe environment and report any unsightly or unsafe conditions in or around the Park.
Requirements:
- Physically fit individuals
- Responsible individual with a good work ethic
- Able to take direction and work independently
- A hands on person with attention to detail
- Must have valid MB class 5 driver’s license
- Operate various pieces of machinery including, but not limited to wood working tools, man lift and forklift
- Forklift Operator certificate would be beneficial
- Knowledge of some trade skills would be a asset
- Some shift work may be required
Wages: Starting @ $10.00/hr. depending on qualifications. |
| Laborer |
Part Time Seasonal: April 1st – November 28th
Part Time Seasonal: May 12th - September 5th
Position Summary: Looking for a physical fit person to assist with various event related set-ups and take down as needed and other duties as directed in or around the Park. May be required to operate some small equipment.
Duties to Include: Assist in the setup and take down of temporary structures, displays and various events. Some painting cleaning emptying waste receptacles and picking up litter will be required. Provide a clean, safe environment and report any unsightly or unsafe conditions in or around the Park.
Requirements:
- Physically fit individuals
- Some heavy lifting will be required
- Able to take direction and work independently
- Knowledge to operate some small equipment
- A hands on person with attention to detail
- Responsible individual with a good work ethic
- A valid MB Class 5 driver’s license would be beneficial
- Some shift work may be required
Wages: $8.50 – $9.00/hr. |
| Grounds Keeping |
Part Time Seasonal: May 12th – September 5th
Position Summary: Looking for a physically fit person to assist with cutting grass, general grounds keeping and the overall appearance of the Park.
Duties to Include: Grass cutting, weed control, fertilizing, watering, assist with various events related set-ups as needed and other duties as directed. Report any unsightly or unsafe conditions in or around the Park. May be required to operate some small equipment.
Requirements:
- Physically fit individuals
- Able to take direction and work independently
- Knowledge to operator lawn maintenance equipment
- A hands on person with attention to detail
- Responsible individual with a good work ethic
- A valid MB Class 5 driver’s license would be beneficial
- Some shift work may be required
Wages: $8.50 – $9.00/hr. |
| Housekeeping/Washroom Attendants |
Part time/seasonal – May 12th - September 5th
June 13th – 22nd 2008 various shifts available
Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining a clean, healthy and safe environment in and around our Washroom buildings for Guests attending various events within the Park.
Duties to Include: Janitorial work including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning washrooms, emptying waste receptacles and picking up litter. Provide a clean, safe environment and report any unsightly or unsafe conditions in or around the Park.
Requirements:
- Physically fit individual
- Able to take directions and work independently
- A hands on person with attention to detail
- Responsible individual with a good work ethic
- Evening and weekend shifts may be required
Wages: $8.75 – $9.00/hr. |
