Safety is our number one concern at the Red River Ex. We have a large security presence at the Red River Ex, including a private security company we hire as well as the Winnipeg Police Service.

Both of these groups are positioned at the front gates and roam the Park on a consistent basis before, during and after all operating hours.

In addition, these same security personnel do conduct bag and pat down searches (similar to when you enter a hockey game or at the front gates of Disneyland) and will continue to be diligent in our process to keep the Park a safe place for everyone to enjoy.

We accept cash, debit, VISA and MasterCard. We also have ATMs on site in case you need to withdraw some last minute cash.

There are bleachers for sitting at all of our shows, lots of picnic tables and there’s even shaded, grassy areas to set up your own family picnic. Wagons and wheelchairs can be rented at the front gate for $15 and scooters for $40.

There are four permanent washroom buildings located throughout the Park and in Exhibition Place. Park staff frequently check the washrooms keeping up with the heavy traffic flow to ensuring that your experience is a most enjoyable one.

Yes!  We are looking for high-spirited volunteers to take on a variety of guest services tasks during the 10-days of the 2019 Red River Ex.

Some examples of those duties include:
• Welcome families as they arrive at the Park, provide them with a daily program and answer any questions they might have.
• Assist guests with directional questions or provide them with attraction start times.
• Provide assistance in our agriculture areas where you’ll work with really cute creatures like alpacas, baby chicks, sheep and more.
• Help our young guests with a variety of interactive activities.
• Provide communication assistance at various attractions around the Park to ensure our guests are informed about start times and any changes in scheduling that may occur.
• Above all else, we need your help to ensure our guests have a really fun time!

You’ll be given a volunteer t-shirt to wear and, after every shift, you’re provided with a hot meal. Of course, you’re also welcome to wander the Park and take in all of the events and activities yourself, once you’ve completed your shift.

If you are 16 years of age or over and are interested in learning more about the opportunities that are available, please contact our Guest Services Coordinator at
