When does the park close?
The park gate closes daily at midnight. The North American Midway Entertainment rides generally close by 12:30 am to 12:45 am.
Where can I find out what is going on at the Ex right now?
The Red River Ex is a 10-day fair that takes place in mid June each year. This web site (www.redriverex.com) has the most up to date information. If you have questions, please call our Info Line: 204-989-3456. How much does it cost to attend the Ex?
If you purchase admission tickets at the General Gate, Admission is $8.00. Kids 6 and under are free. General Gate Admission price includes GST and are PST exempt. You can save by purchasing tickets in advance. Please see the Get Tickets on the Ex page on this web site (www.redriverex.com) All the Concerts and Attractions are free with your gate admission.
Is it possible to purchase tickets online?
Ex tickets will be available online. Stay tuned for on-sale information starting April 1 through to June 22. Please see the Get Tickets on the Ex page on this web site (www.redriverex.com)
If I buy a gate ticket or ride package online, how does it work?
This service works in the same manner as any other online purchase. Simply follow the prompts on the web site to purchase your gate admission, ride coupons or wristband. Note: SAVE YOUR PRINT OUT AND GUARD IT CAREFULLY. When you arrive at the Ex with your online print out:
- Look for the “Online Purchase Redemption” Booth, located on the north side of the ticket mall outside the front gate.
- Take your printed bar coded sheet to the Online Purchase Redemption Booth.
- Our staff will validate your purchase and give you your wristband, gate admission or swipe card.
- You must redeem your computer printed bar coded form before you enter the gate.
- To validate your purchase, in the event of a problem, it is always suggested that you present the credit card or cardholder information used for this purchase
Are tickets going to be available in advance again this year?
Yes. Early Bird Internet specials available April 1st through May 31st online at www.redriverex.com Discounted advance tickets will be available from May 26th to Thursday, June 12th. at Sobeys Stores and Mac’s Convenience stores.
What are the best deal and discounts on gate and ride tickets?
Our advice is to purchase your tickets in advance of Friday, June 13 in order to get your best buy on ride and gate tickets. Remember quantities of deep discount tickets are limited at Sobeys and Mac’s Convenience Stores and online at www.redriverex.com. You must purchase before Friday, June 13 to get the best bargains.
What is my best deal?
It depends on your interest but:
- Did you know that you can purchase a $7.00 & GST admission at Sobeys.
That is a saving of 14% per ticket on gate admissions.
- Did you know that Sobeys has 10 ride swipe card for $15.00 & GST on sale until store closing Thursday, June 12th? That’s only $1.50 per ride.
- Did you know that Mac’s Convenience stores sell an all you can ride wristband for $28.00 & GST until midnight Thursday, June 12th? The wristband contains your gate admission and all rides on the North American Entertainment Midway.
I bought a Mac’s All You Can Ride Wristband and gate admission. Where do I get my wristband?
Redeem your Mac’s cards at the Mac’s Wristband booth OUTSIDE THE FRONT GATE on the north side of the ticket mall. Look for the Mac’s logo and wristband sign.
I bought a Sobeys gate ticket and a 10 ride swipe card. Where do I go once I get to the gate?
Take your Sobeys discount ticket directly to the ticket taker at the front gates. You do not need to stand in the ticket purchase line. Take your Sobeys ride swipe card directly a Midway Ticket Booth to redeem your 10 ride sheet and start having fun.
Where is parking for the disabled located?
We have parking spaces reserved for the disabled adjacent to the Exhibition Park Entrance Mall and Gates.
When is Senior’s Day?
Tuesday, June 17 is Senior’s Day. All Seniors (60+) will be admitted for a special admission of $4.00. Seniors will also receive a pass for a free Ferris Wheel and a free Merry-go round ride for that day.
Are there any deals for Kids?
Yes, Wednesday, June 18 is Kids’ Day. Kiddieland special for this day only. Purchase 30 coupons for only $20.00 for North American Midway Entertainment’s rides in Kiddieland. Available on grounds at the North American Midway Entertainment ticket booths in Kiddieland for Wednesday, June 20th only.
Are dogs permitted on the Exhibition Park Grounds?
Yes and no. Only working dogs are permitted at the Ex, i.e. Guide Dogs and the SuperDogs show dogs. Please do not leave pets in your car during your visit to the Ex.
Is the all you can ride wristband available on site during the Ex?
You can purchase an unlimited rides wristband for $38.00 including GST at the North American Midway Entertainment ticket booths in the Adult and Kiddie Midways. You must purchase admission separately.
If I want to (or am required to) go on rides with my kids do I have to pay?
Yes. For rides that require adult accompaniment, parents will be required to pay to go on the ride.
If I only want to go on one or two rides can I buy individual ride swipe cards?
Once on the grounds, visitors may purchase ride tickets at any North American Midway Entertainment ticket booth. Please visit the Get Tickets section and then click on Ride Tickets on the Ex page on this web site (www.redriverex.com)
I would like to request a donation from the Ex for my local charity or school. Whom should I contact?
The Ex offers a limited number of gate pass donations to local charities supporting children with disabilities and at risk youth. Please note that the Ex is unable to make cash donations or donations to individuals. If you would like to apply for support of your project, please mail or fax a written request on your organization’s letterhead address before June 1st to the attention of Garth Rogerson, C.E.O., Red River Exhibition Association. The fax number is 204-888-6992.
Are group rates available for the Ex?
Discounted rates are available for corporate or social groups of 100 or more. Please visit the groups sales page of our web site of call 204-888-6990 or more information. Please note that arrangements for group rates must be made in advance.
If I have a physical disability, do I have to pay to enter the Ex?
Yes, all entrants to the Red River Ex at Red River Exhibition Park will need a gate admission.
