boxed’N, EXtreme Gallery, is a brand new concept never seen before in Winnipeg.

Take eight terrific artists and have them install a selection of their work inside shipping containers. The result is a display of artwork like you’ve never seen before.


This concept has been seen in Jerusalem, Italy, New York, Brazil, Vancouver and Edmonton.

We’re pleased to be able to showcase local artists and their work in this very unique and EXtreme setting right here in the heart of the continent.

Announcing our 2013 Artists!

Perry Holmes is a self taught, Manitoba Artist who derives inspiration from the beauty of nature in its infinite diversity. He has sold work across North America and overseas. Celebrities who own his work are Eckhart Tolle, Samuel L. Jackson and Patrick Stewart.

Kevin Fawley is interested in post-apocalyptic design and a narrative about survival; particularly in our ability to reconstruct. Kevin focuses attention to transportation and infrastructure. His drawings are sooty and dirty; exposing our relationship with the non-renewable they remind us that urban ecosystems are complex environmental, social, economic, cultural and political environments.

Matt Gillies is a Winnipeg-born multimedia artist. Recent works include the Synthetica installation for the WAG, and art game Murder Command in the DPAD2 exhibition at the InterAccess Electronic Media Arts Centre in Toronto. He is currently developing new tools for real-time video art.

Victoria Elaine McIntosh grew up with creativity in her surroundings pertaining to Ojibway teachings at the Sagkeeng first Nation in Manitoba.  Art has always been a very important aspect in Victoria Elaine’s life for expressions and communication.  Wish a unique eye for detail, shapes and colour, she creates colour-inspired, eclectic versatile paintings.

Karen Robb is a Canadian visual artist based in Winnipeg.  Her work has been displayed locally at the Birchwood Gallery, the Medea Gallery and the Cre8ery and numerous private collections.  Her work has also been shown in Los Angeles, Miami, New York and will be on display at Art Hamptons this summer.

Sam Baardman is a Winnipeg-based musician and photographer.  He is a veteran of Manitoba’s music scene and well-known for his socially-conscious style.  Sam has branched out into the visual arts with an exhibition of stunning photography and video focusing on our relationship with water.

This team of talented artists and artisans are part of the large membership of Uniquely Manitoba. Uniquely Manitoba is a Non-Profit organization that will soon be celebrating their coming 10th year of helping Manitoba Artist and Artisan cultural producers in our province. Our showcase covers all “Manitoba Made” products including the works from artists, artisans, culinary, music and performing.
