Two Aerospace Industry Scholarships will be awarded in the value of $1,000 each.

The Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. is accepting applications for two scholarships that are awarded annually to assist individuals who are pursuing a career in the aerospace industry. The scholarships are awarded by the Red River Exhibition Association in memory of Bob Lang, a long time employee of the Association who began his career at Standard Aero in Winnipeg. The scholarships are administered by the Red River Exhibition Foundation Inc. and may be used for assistance with tuition fees, tools or learning aids in conjunction with their post secondary education or apprenticeship training in the aerospace industry.

Criteria

  • A Manitoba resident
  • Actively enrolled in the Aerospace programs at Technical Vocational School, Murdoch MacKay Collegiate, Maples Collegiate or R.D. Parker (Thompson)
  • You must continue your education in the Aerospace field

Applications must contain:

  • Name, address, city, province, telephone number, email
  • Proof of Senior 4 or equivalent
  • Letters of reference/recommendation from at least two people including the recommendation of the school’s aerospace program instructor(s)
  • Proof of completion of successful work experience
  • Resumé, including education, employment and volunteer, community and school activities
  • Please write a 250 word document telling us about your Vision Statement including:
  • Your interests in the industry
  • Why you chose this career path
  • How you plan to be involved in the industry in the future

Application Deadline:  4:30 p.m. the second Friday in May
